An octopus: a species on the brink of extinction because of its taste and pollution.
Kalouf's favorite tool is the spray can. This artist from Gabon, who is also from Lyon by adoption, likes to paint octopuses to denounce the fact that this species is on the brink of extinction.
The fact that it is not considered photogenic contributes to its disappearance. The cult of beauty is also taking its toll on wildlife.
Poaching for its tasty qualities and pollution are also contributing to its demise.
Here, the animal is painted white to illustrate the fact that it could one day become a ghost.
