Why not start with Cœur de Tarentaise? Less than 2 hours from Lyon, you will find yourself at the foot of the mythical passes of the Alps or on the Grandes Alpes route!

Time: 4h/5h with breaks
You will start your ascent above Bourg Saint Maurice by a small technical road that runs along the Torrent des Glaciers before arriving overlooking the lake of Roselend and its dam and then crossing the village of Beaufort and its famous cheese. You will then go back down to Albertville to return to Coeur de Tarentaise.

For a busy day, this itinerary will make you admire the Tarentaise from the top of the Col de la Madeleine, will take you through the magnificent village of Bonneval sur Arc and you will come back through the sublime Iseran pass.

With its road that will take you up to 2300m and its 170 bends over 38 km, this route is not the longest, but it will allow you to see a summary of the Tarentaise. The Tour de France made it its last stage in 2019 for a good reason, a sublime road that twists and turns between typical chalets, torrents and high summits.
Take the opportunity to climb to 3200m and dominate the Tarentaise effortlessly thanks to the Caron cable car.
